Christ Church, Rhes Y Cae nestles amongst rolling fields and hills on Halkyn Mountain, at the edge of tiny Rhes Y Cae village.
The church was built in 1846 of similar material to that of Rhosesmor Church. Christ Church is the smallest of the three Halkyn Mountain Churches. It size was apparently limited due to a shortage of money when erecting the building. At a squeeze it can accommodate 200 people.
The organ, has recently been refurbished and there a secondary heating system to keep parishioners (reasonably) warm on a cold winters day!
Christ Church has a small but committed congregation and holds regular social events, partly to raise money for the upkeep of the church but, more importantly, for the fellowship.
Rhes Y Cae Church works with the other churches in the Halkyn Mountain Group of Parishes.
