About the church

‘Faith and Fellowship through Friendship’
As a church we are committed to Christian discipleship. We value sincerity and integrity in our worship and in our fellowship together. Through nurturing caring relationships, we trust all may experience the joy of belonging to Christ’s Church and the acceptance He offers to all who seek him.

St Michael’s church in Trefeglwys, was founded in the 12th century but the present building dates only from 1863-5.
The timber bell frame and supports (perhaps of the 17th century) were retained from the earlier church, as was a 15th century bell. But otherwise none of the early furnishings and fittings have been preserved. The building is set in a large, low-lying, sub-rectangular churchyard, with memorials from the late l8th century.
The Victorian rebuilding was in 1863-5, though some earlier masonry re-used.
