St Mary Magdalene’s Church

Designed by E.M.Bruce Vaughan and built between 1881-82, the simple building provides a light and open space for worship and community use. Restored in 2011, with the grounds re-modelled in 2013 to provide easier access, the church seeks to welcome a variety of groups, from the local church and community schools, concerts, community meetings, and provides a peaceful space for quiet prayer, Sunday and midweek worship, baptisms, weddings and funerals and quiet evenings. With the Community Hall standing behind it, the Church has also hosted hugely successful quilting and flower festivals.
