Social Action

The  Parish is involved in local projects alongside other Churches.

Merthyr & Cynon Foodbank has now started its operation in the area of Merthyr Tydfil and CynonValley from 2012.  This is a joint venture run by the Local Gweini and is designed to help individuals and families in crisis through the provision of emergency food supplies.  It will replicate the work of Foodbank, a project of the Trussell Trust.  Both Churches have collection points for any donations, they also collect used clothes which are sold and money given to the foodbank.

Street Pastors:

“Street Pastors is about Christians rolling up their sleeves and getting involved in practically responding to the problems of crime and safety. They are like beacons on our streets and I want to see them shining brightly in every constituency”David Burrowes MP
