St David’s

The baby of the parish is St David’s, Abercraf, which celebrated it’s first centenary in 2012. It’s also the biggest of the three church buildings, of typically early 20th century neo-gothic design, and it was built to serve the new community of Abercraf, a village whose development began with the opening of a canal in 1799. It is now the largest settlement in the valley north of Ystradgynlais. The congregation at St David’s is larger than the others, just as welcoming and with all ages represented.
