Holy Baptism

Baptisms take place throughout the year at both St. Marcella’s and St. Mary’s Churches.  They usually take place on a Sunday as a separate service, however, can also take place during the main service or on a Saturday, on occasion.

Should you wish to discuss arranging a baptism at either St. Marcella’s or St. Mary’s Church, please contact the Rector, Canon Revd. Pauline Walker on 01745 813831 (there is a voicemail in place to leave a message) or email: Pawalker200@btinternet.com.

We generally only conduct one baptism each Sunday so we suggest you book at least a couple of months ahead and have a selection of possible dates, particularly during the Summer months.

Once you have checked availability, we will ask you to complete a Baptism Application Form to confirm the booking.  There is no fee for a baptism. The Rector will discuss the service with you and requirements for Godparents so please just ask if you have any queries relating to this.
