Aerial View

Hanmer Village is seen here from above in 2002.

St Chad’s Church is surrounded by the village.

The village school is seen to the western edge with its playing field.
Spot also Magpie Cottage by the mere and behind it the Striga Bank houses. Moving up the High Street from the Post Office by the mere, spot Beech Close houses. At Church Square there is the butcher’s shop of John Roberts. Then the Hanmer Arms pub, the bowling green by its car park, and opposite the drive up to its car park the Flowershop in the old garage.

All nestle by the mere with the tents of a 2002 Village Fete on its surrounds.
