Holy Trinity, Penrhyndeudraeth

We are a small town in the heart of Snowdonia. We offer a very warm welcome to all – whether visitors or locals. All our services welcome children.

About the church

A small Victorian church which is rectangular in plan – a plaque on the outside wall acknowledges that it was built ‘Through the generosity of Mrs William Cernffydd Oakley of Plas Tan-y-bwlch, Maentwrog’ in 1858. The east window depicts The Crucifixion and other scenes from Jesus’ life. The centre south nave window depicts the Angel Gabriel and The Virgin Mary with a dove of peace. The north nave window depicts, in one panel, Christ going forth to sow and in the other as the Good Shepherd.
