Mother’s Union Past Glories

MU Sewing Projects.

Each Lent Dafen’s Mothers Union members choose a project to help others, these have ranged from sewing cushions for patients at the local hospital.

In total the ladies completed 41 cushions,  alongside 15 sets of kidney-shaped cushions with drainage bag holders. These were presented to Mr Simon Holt of Prince Philip Hospital.

To ‘Twiddlemuffs’, for those who don’t know, a twiddlemuff is a thick hand muff which has bits and bobs attached to the inside and out. It is designed to provide a stimulation activity for restless hands for patients with dementia.

It is not all work, work, work. fellowship and meals out are also an important part of our MU programme
