St. David’s Church was consecrated in May 1854, and in 2016 underwent refurbishment. All the pews have been removed, the floor has been levelled and a new wooden floor has been installed along with a new heating system. Phase 2 of the work will begin when funds are sufficient to install toilets, kitchen and multi purpose room so the church can be used for church functions and to engage more with the wider community.
It has a dedicated congregation who work tirelessly to fundraise towards the upkeep of the church. There is a growing Sunday School where children meet for 9.30 am in the church hall and then re-join the congregation for Holy Eucharist. On the first Sunday of the Month, the Sunday School take part in the service by assisting with reading, the offertory and the collection. Messy Church is now a regular part of church life.
