Bellringing at All Saints

Bellringing at All Saints

The church has a peal of six bells, with a combined weight of over 50 cwts.  Five were installed when the church was built in 1903, and named after members of the founder’s family.  They are the treble “Nellie”, number two “Willie”, number three “Connie”, number five, “Madalena” and the tenor “Dorothy”.  The sixth bell, number four, was installed by the ringers in 1993.

An enthusiastic team of bellringers meets each Monday for practise.  Bells are rung for the Eucharist service on Sundays, and for weddings by arrangement.  New members of the team are assured of a warm welcome and encouragement.
