The church is here for all occasions, and the clergy are always available to offer support and comfort.

It is always a sad time when someone you have known and loved dies.  But the church is here to help at these sad times as well as at joyful ones.  We are ready to be of service, offering the possibility of a service in church before a burial at the cemetery or cremation at the crematorium or by taking the whole service at the crematorium.  We also offer services in the chapels of local funeral directors.  A church service may be particularly helpful if you expect a lot of people at the funeral.  We are able to seat up to 200 people in St Luke’s, 300 people in St John’s and over 600 in St Catherine’s.  All three churches also have standing room.

Whichever you choose, we are here to help in any way we can at this difficult time. If you are arranging a funeral, please contact your chosen funeral director first, and then contact the clergy – click here for details.
