For the first time, the churches of Killay, Sketty and Ty Coch met together for a combined service in All Souls, Ty Coch. The picture above was taken as we shared the Peace during the service. It was a great encouragement to gather together on a beautiful sunny day and worship. The place was full and needed extra chairs brought in at the back. The music group led the singing in a contemporary and relaxed style. The clergy were all involved in different parts of the service, with lay people reading and assisting at the Eucharist.
“Let’s do this again” was heard during the refreshments after the service and “What if every week were like this!” There are plans now for another fifth Sunday service to take place in St Hilary’s, Killay in November. Intentionally, this will have a different feel to it as the three robed choirs will lead the singing for a formal and traditional Choral Eucharist.
“Christ be in our Gathering, our Growing and our Going…”
