The Parish of Llyn Safaddan

During the Coronavirus outbreak, in line with current government guidelines all public church services and other public gatherings have ceased and our church buildings are closed.

However, in our Ministry Area, Llangors Church will be open for private/personal prayer from 10am to 11am each Thursday morning, beginning 2nd July.  Also Brecon Cathedral is now open for private/personal prayer on Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 2pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 3pm to 5pm.

Please see here for details of what else there is to help us at this time alongside God’s love for us – we’re producing a weekly service & noticesheet to use at home, along with a video service for streaming, and a weekly service over Zoom is held at 10-30am each week.  The Ministry Area clergy can be contacted by phone or email.  For any enquiries or particular needs, please contact Revd Kelvin Richards, Priest in Charge.

We are a group of  five rural churches just a few miles north east of Brecon. We are positioned around Llangors Lake and set in the midst of beautiful hills. We aim to keep our churches open all the time and hope you will feel that they are places where you can meet the hospitality of God.

Together with the six churches in the Beacons Benefice we make up the Beacons and Llyn Safaddan Ministry Area.  The churches and their ministry are available to anyone who lives in or visits the area – not just people who attend church regularly on Sundays.
