The Parish of Llyn Safaddan

All five churches in the Parish of Llyn Safaddan are now open for services.  The monthly service pattern is as follows:

  • 9-30am at Llanfihangel Church on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the Month
  • 11am at Llangors Church on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the Month
  • 11am at Llangasty Church on the 2nd Sunday of the Month
  • 9-30am at Bwlch Church on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of the Month
  • 11am at Llanywern Church on the 4th Sunday of the Month

The usual Sunday service is Communion, but the actual details will always be given in the News post

With Wales in ‘Covid Stable’, there is now no requirement to book to attend services. We still maintain social distancing as a Covid risk management measure so you will be shown where to sit.  Whether you wear a face mask is your decision, but we encourage worshippers to wear one out of consideration for others.  Singing is currently allowed.  Communion is given with the wafer bread only, not wine from the cup.

Worship from home. We also have a weekly Ministry Area notice-sheet with short service to read at home.  We still have an occasional video service on YouTube, but have stopped holding Sunday services on Zoom since the end of April.

A link to the most recent YouTube service is given in the current News Post or on Rev Trina’s YouTube page.

For any enquiries or particular needs, please contact Revd Kelvin Richards, Priest in Charge.

We are a group of  five rural churches just a few miles north east of Brecon. We are positioned around Llangors Lake and set in the midst of beautiful hills. We aim to keep our churches open all the time and hope you will feel that they are places where you can meet the hospitality of God.

Together with the six churches in the Beacons Benefice we make up the Beacons and Llyn Safaddan Ministry Area.  The churches and their ministry are available to anyone who lives in or visits the area – not just people who attend church regularly on Sundays.
