Activities

During the Coronavirus outbreak, in line with current government guidelines all public church services and other public gatherings have ceased and all church buildings are closed to the public.

STUDY group

We normally run a Study Group in different member’s homes during the spring, summer and autumn / winter ‘terms’.  The Study Group is open to anyone who would like to attend meeting.   We read and discuss study group material with the aim of sharing and building our Christian faith, in particular what this means in practice in our daily lives.  This is very much for everyone.  You certainly don’t need to have studied the Bible already.

During the current lockdown from December, we are holding a monthly Study Group over Zoom on the second Thursday at 4.30pm.   This is based around pictures in the Methodist Church Collection, which are used in this well-established course to spark conversations and questions, and deepen our understanding.  No special knowledge of art is needed – just good reading glasses!  Each session is no longer than one hour.

The remaining sessions are:

  • Thursday 11th March – ‘The cross over the city’ by Michael Edmonds
  • Thursday 8th April – ‘Love one another’ by Georges Rouault
  • Thursday 13th May – ‘Pentecost’ by John Brokenshire

You can phone Kelvin or Liz (see Contact page) to attend or find out more if you wish.
