The Beacons Benefice
As the Covid lockdown eases – April 2021
Church services. We are now following the same monthly pattern as before the last lockdown:
- 10.30am at Llanfrynach on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the Month
- 10.30am at Llangors on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month
Because of the need for social distancing, we are limited in the number of people we can accommodate at either church building. So if you want to come to a particular service could you please let Kelvin know by phone (01874-676146) or email by mid-day on the Saturday before the Sunday service. Under the current regulations, face masks will need to be worn so please bring one with you, although disposable masks will also be available. Singing is still not possible at the moment.
Worship from home. We also have a weekly Ministry Area notice-sheet with short service to read at home. We also have a weekly video service on YouTube and are holding weekly Sunday services on Zoom. Details of all these are in our current News Post.
Please see our During Covid-19 webpage for detail on what services and help are available to us at this time alongside God’s continued love. The clergy on the Ministry Team can also be contacted by phone or email. For any enquiries or particular needs, please contact Revd Kelvin Richards, Priest in Charge.
We are a group of six churches covering an area to the south east of Brecon, with the Brecon Beacons to the south and the valley of the River Usk to the north. Together with the five churches in the Parish of Llyn Safaddan we make up the Ministry Area of the Beacons and Llyn Safaddan. The churches and their ministry are available to anyone who lives in or visits the area – not just people who attend church regularly on Sundays.
