Beacons Benefice covering Cantref, Llanddetty, Llanfeugan, Llanfrynach, Llanhamlach and Llansantffraed Churches

The Beacons Benefice

We are a group of six churches covering an area to the south east of Brecon, with the Brecon Beacons to the south and the valley of the River Usk to the north.  Together with the five churches in the Parish of Llyn Safaddan we make up the Ministry Area of the Beacons and Llyn Safaddan.  The churches and their ministry are available to anyone who lives in or visits the area – not just people who attend church regularly on Sundays.

For information on any specific church, click on Churches and select the church

Church services now Wales is in ‘Covid Stable’ take place at one or more of Cantref, Llandetty,  Llanfeugan, Llanfrynach and Llanhamlach churches each Sunday.  See the schedule of services in the News post for when (click on the thumbnail on the right hand side of this page).  The usual Sunday service is Communion, but the actual details will always be given in the weekly News post (click on ‘News’ button at the top of this page if you don’t see it in the thumbnails on the right).  For more information see our ‘Covid Stable’ webpage.

There is no requirement to book to attend.  We still maintain some social distancing.  Communion is given with the wafer bread only, not wine from the cup.

Worship from home. We also have a weekly Ministry Area notice-sheet with short service to read at home.  We have stopped holding Sunday services on Zoom. We still have a video service on YouTube, but now only approximately monthly.  A link to the most recent YouTube service is given in the weekly News Post or on Rev Trina’s YouTube page.
