During the Covid-19 pandemic

This News Post summarises how services and activities in the Beacons Benefice are affected, and what’s still here to help you.  More details are given on the During Covid-19 webpage.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, in line with Welsh Government and Church in Wales requirements, all public church services and public gatherings in our churches have ceased and our church buildings remain closed except Llangors Church in our Ministry Area and the Cathedral in Brecon.  See the During Covid-19 webpage for more details about opening times.

Be assured that God’s love for us remains.  In the absence of public church services, we hope you will find some of these resources helpful:

Ministry Area Weekly Notice-sheet   We are publishing a weekly notice-sheet – click here for Notice-sheet webpage.  This has a weekly letter and notices about all the Sunday services from one of the Ministry Team plus a short service to use at home with readings, prayers and address.

Ministry Area Video-services   We are holding a live web service on Zoom each Sunday at 10.30am.  Contact Revd Kelvin Richards for the weblink if you’re not on the regular email that gives details.   Revd Liz Bramley holds fortnightly Zoom services for the Family Church group that used to meet monthly in the Henderson Hall – contact Liz for details.

Ministry Area Video-services  Revd Trina Lodge is also making a separate video-service for each Sunday which we post on YouTube and give the weblink in the News post (see below).

We put a weekly News Post on the right side of the Home Page to give click-on links to the Weekly Notice-sheet and the Video-service on YouTube.

Ministry and support  The Ministry Team is still available to be contacted by phone or email.  And our congregations exist within our local communities where we must all keep in contact with and help one another as far as possible.

Enquiries   For any enquiries, please contact Revd Kelvin Richards, Priest in Charge.
